Terms and Conditions for Pup Boutique
The following terms and conditions (T&Cs) apply to the provision by Pup Boutique (ABN 24 682 557 384) trading as Pup Boutique, to you (Pet Owner, You, or Your) of daycare and/or grooming services (the Services) for Your dog(s) at our facility. By making a booking with Pup Boutique, You agree to accept these T&Cs. Amendments to these T&Cs must be agreed upon in writing by Pup Boutique.
1. Booking
1.1. To confirm a booking, You agree to provide accurate contact details, including Your name, telephone number, and email address, as well as an emergency contact’s details (authorized by You to be contacted and collect the Pet if necessary). It is Your responsibility to promptly inform us of any changes to these details.
2. Deposit and Payments
2.1. Full payment for daycare fees, along with any incurred charges, is due upon check-out of Your Pet.
2.1. You agree to cover all fees and charges associated with the Services rendered by Pup Boutique, including any special services requested or deemed necessary by us.
2.2. Additional charges, including travel fees, labor costs, and veterinary costs (if required), are Your responsibility, as outlined in clauses 13 and 17.
2.3. Payments are accepted through any payment method specified on our website at the time of payment.
3. Cancellations, Modifications, and No-Shows
3.1. Notice is requested 24 hours prior to appointment but at this stage is fully refundable in credit for another booking time.
4. Disclosure
4.1. It is essential to disclose any relevant medical conditions, behavioral traits (e.g., anxiety, aggression), or past incidents that could affect Your Pet’s ability to interact safely with other animals or in our care setting.
5. Vaccinations and Other Treatments
5.1. All Pets must meet vaccination and treatment standards to be accepted for daycare or grooming services.
5.2. Pets must be treated for fleas and worms within one month prior to check-in.
5.3. Dogs must receive a C5 vaccination at least 14 days before check-in.
5.4. Vaccination certificates must be provided either upon booking or no later than 14 days before check-in for daycare. Failure to provide updated certificates may result in cancellation of the booking.
5.5. Additional vaccinations may be required for disease prevention, which will be communicated to You in advance if applicable.
5.6. Any Pet presenting with fleas or worms upon arrival will receive immediate treatment at Your expense.
5.7. Pup Boutique does not accept titer testing in place of required vaccinations.
6. Entry Requirements – Daycare / Grooming
6.1. Upon arrival, a health and wellness check of Your Pet may be conducted to determine suitability for entry.
6.2. If a full examination is deemed necessary, fees will apply, and the cost must be covered in advance. No refund will be provided for this cost if the Pet is denied entry based on the assessment.
6.3. We may refuse entry if:
The Pet is younger than 18 weeks.
The Pet is 15 years or older.
The Pet has shown previous aggressive behavior or does not meet our vaccination and health standards.
You or others representing You demonstrate aggression or disrespect toward staff.
6.4. Pup Boutique does not accept:
Pregnant or lactating Pets
Pets with recent stitches or those desexed in the past 10 days
Pets with a history of aggression
Pets that don’t meet our vaccination or health standards
7. Check-In and Check-Out
7.1. For daycare, check-in and check-out are available between 9:00 am and 5:00 pm Tuesday to Saturday.
7.2. All Pets must arrive on a leash or in a carrier.
7.3. If someone other than You will collect Your Pet, their contact information must be provided at check-in.
8. Abandoned Pets
8.1. If uncollected, Pets will be considered abandoned after 24 hours for daycare without communication and may be rehomed or placed in a shelter. Associated fees will be charged.
9. Veterinary Treatment
9.1. In case of illness or injury, Pup Boutique will contact You or Your emergency contact. If unreachable, we may seek treatment from a local vet, with all costs charged to You.
10. Liability
10.1. Pup Boutique takes all necessary precautions for Pet safety but will not be held responsible for illness, injury, or death unless caused by our negligence.
11. Pet Transport Charges
11.1. If Your Pet requires transport to a veterinarian during a grooming or daycare session, the following charges will apply:
a) $60.00 (inclusive of GST) for transport to (or to and from) the veterinarian;
b) $45.00 (inclusive of GST) per hour (or part hour) for the time spent by one of Our staff members waiting with, and being responsible for, the Pet at the veterinarian; and
c) $15.00 (inclusive of GST) for time and materials needed to clean and sterilize Our vehicle after transporting the Pet.
12. Death
12.1. In the unfortunate event that a Pet passes away at Our Facility, We will notify You or Your emergency contact as soon as reasonably practicable, respecting Your wishes regarding the handling and treatment of the deceased Pet.
12.2. You acknowledge and agree:
a) that You or Your emergency contact must collect the deceased Pet from the Facility within 4 hours of being notified; and
b) if the deceased Pet is not collected as required by (a) above, or We are unable to contact You or Your emergency contact within 4 hours, You authorize Us to transport the deceased Pet to one of Our nearby veterinary partners for appropriate storage until alternative arrangements are made. You agree to pay the Pet Transport Charges specified in clause 11 and any veterinary storage fees incurred.
13. Acceptance of Risk and Limit on Our Liability
13.1. You acknowledge and agree that during grooming or daycare services:
a) the Pet may engage in supervised interaction with other animals at Our Facility;
b) the Pet may behave differently than usual, which could result in injury to or death of the Pet and/or other animals at Our Facility; and
c) We are not responsible for any personal items brought into the Facility that are lost, destroyed, or left behind.
13.2. While every care is taken by Us, You acknowledge and agree that:
a) leaving Your Pet in Our care is done solely at Your own risk;
b) You are solely responsible for any and all actions or behavior of the Pet while at Our Facility; and
c) except in cases of Our or Our employees’ negligence, We are not liable for any illness, including but not limited to Canine Influenza (Cough), injury, death, loss, or damage that may occur to Your Pet, or any damages caused by Your Pet to other animals at the Facility.
13.3. You agree to indemnify and hold Us harmless against any claims, damages, costs (including legal costs on a full indemnity basis), losses, liabilities, and expenses arising from the illness, injury, or death of Your Pet or any other animal in Our Facility caused by Your Pet, except where due to Our or Our employees’ negligence.
13.4. Our total maximum liability for any claim in relation to the services provided is limited to the fees paid by You for the grooming or daycare services. We are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, such as veterinarian fees or loss of income.
14. Marketing and Social Media
14.1. You acknowledge and agree that during Your Pet’s stay at Our Facility, Your Pet may be photographed. These photos may be used for marketing and promotional purposes on Our website and social media accounts.
15. Website
15.1. By using Our website and customer portal, You accept the terms of use set by the platform provider and agree not to put Us in breach of these terms.
16. Miscellaneous
16.1. If any provision in these Terms and Conditions is found to be void, unenforceable, or voidable, it will be modified as needed to ensure enforceability, and the remaining terms will remain in full effect.
16.2. These Terms and Conditions are governed by the laws of South Australia.
16.3. We reserve the right to update these Terms and Conditions periodically. The version in place at the time of booking will apply to that specific booking.
